Your favorite snacks and drink, a pen and note pad for the classroom. Dress comfortably.

For the range you’ll need ear and eye protection, closed toe shoes, long sleeves and brimmed hat.

If you own a pistol (.22 to .45 caliber) and plan on bringing it to class please make sure it is UNLOADED and CASED. DO NOT bring any amminution into the classroom.

Pistols will be checked at the door to ensure everyone’s safety. Training with your own pistol is encouraged if you own one.  If not I’ll have a few  including a laser pistol we can use to practice on a virtual range in class.

The live fire qualification  will be held off site at a local range on a date and time of your choice. If you plan on going to a range after class, please leave all ammunition in your vehicle. You will need at least 30 rounds to qualify, but more is encouraged.

After you demonstrate your ability to correctly load, safely fire your pistol and hit your target you will receive a Certificate of Completion allowing you to apply for your CPL with your County Clerk.

LIVE FIRE qualification is required to complete the class. You will not receive your certificate of completion until all requirements have been met.

No, we will work through lunch to keep on schedule. Pack a lunch, bring your favorite beverages and snacks for the day. I will have cold bottled water available for free all day.

I’ve been a member of the Plymouth community for almost twenty years. I’ve owned long guns and pistols for over forty years. I’ve tried my hand at hunting, skeet, trap, pistol teams and leagues. I’ve taken several defensive pistol classes to gain experience and knowledge about potential life threatening encounters. I became a CPL Instructor to maximize my knowledge of CPL laws and lifestyle and share my experience as a student and CPL holder.

I enjoy helping people. Teaching CPL classes allows me the opportunity to help those who choose to be prepared to defend themselves and their families.

Carrying a weapon isn’t just about what pistol fits your hand or hides best under your shirt. It’s a lifestyle and requires thorough knowledge of CPL laws and the responsibilities that come with carrying.
